fashion update The museum of Les Arts Decoratifs has now opened a wonderful exhibition devoted to the famous couturiere Madeleine Vionnet known as the "Queen of the bias cut". She used the natural shapes and curves of a woman to design some of the most beautifully dresses made. And by cutting the fabrics diagonal (bias), it would allow her designs to be more fluid and moving. Her inspirations derived from Greek art and that's where her famous Grecian style dresses come from. The exhibition shows 22 dresses, 750 patterns and 75 photo albums of her work. You can see the exhibition from 24 june 2009- 24 january 2010 at the Les Arts Decoratifs in Paris.
