Love Love Love Andrew Gn
runway updateEven though fall 2010 shows are already presented, we still have to face the challenges of spring emerging in the air. And with that in mind I fell so in love with Andrew Gn's spring 2010 collection. His pretty, short and beautifully colored dresses are definitely an eye catcher and worthy every young woman's love for fashion. And it seems that fishnet is making a great comeback !

Absolutely Burberry!!
runway updateOne of the best shows this spring must be Burberry Prorsum's. I love the beautifully draped dresses and coats. And the fabulously high platform shoes and ankle high socks. It must be one of the hottest trends yet to come in 2010.

Alexander McQueen - Genius
runway update
It was like something from outer space, watching a scene from the 1997 movie Fifth Element. He is a genius, combining technology, art and design into his work. With these futuristic patterns and shapes, he gives us new opportunities and optimism in the world we live in today. If this is what the future will look like, I can't wait to jump into these suits and fly away. Absolutely fabulous.

Fall Fashion Week 2009

Some designers dare to go different from the rest. More dramatic, theatrical, opulent and glamorous were the collections of Galliano and McQueen this fall. Both brought a sense of romanticism and great craftmanship to the stage.

McQueen's sense of humour came back in his use of recycled materials as headgears and satire hommage to some of fashion's most famous looks like Dior's New Look, Chanel tweed suits and YSL wrapover dress.

Galliano's collection shows a story with inspirations from Ukrainian virgin brides, mixed with poetry and romance. He worked with some new volumes and shapes, super high heels with pom pom details, beautiful embroidered folkloric and spun-silver bias cut dresses.

One of the most famous fashion icons celebrates her 50th anniversary. Vera Wang, DVF, Calvin Klein, The Blonds, Betsey Johnson, Patricia Field, Donna Karan were some of the 50 designers that helped create looks inspired by Barbie throughout her 50 years of fame. It was a fabulous runway show with typical pink shades of Barbie. Happy Birthday Barbie!!

Rodarte- Fashion with an extreme romantic twist

One of my favorite designers at the moment are Kate and Laura Mulleavy. Together they are the face behind Rodarte. Drama and romance is what their clothes epitomize. They have great sense of mixing various fabrics together like leather, chiffon, wool and lace. Rodarte was founded in 2005 and since then became a phenomenal asset to the fashion culture. They have received several awards in the fashion industry and gained recognition from many celebrities like Keira Knightley and Kirsten Dunst. I love it...fabulous!!
