Christian Lacroix last couture show ??
runway update
While Lacroix filed for bankruptcy last May, I can only hope that some billionaire investor will very soon fund this fabulous designer label. Christian Lacroix started his own couture label in 1987, after having worked at Jean Patou since 1981. He has a background in historical costumes having worked in a theatre. His designs send out a great sense of folkloric opulence, with lots of colour and dramatic glamour. Lacroix always ends his couture show with a model dressed as a bride. His famous puffball skirt ("le pouf") became a reinvention of the ball gown for the late 20th century. Now after 22 years being in the business he might be showing off his last couture show. Is he trying to say something with the lack of color in this collection? There will definitely be some dark days ahead for Lacroix.

Favorite dresses spring/summer runway
fashion update
After seeing quite a lot of runway looks, I decided to make a list of my 10 favorite looks seen on the spring/summer runways. They're a great source of inspiration based on color, fabric and shape. Absolutely fabulous fashion.
